Since completing the donated commission for The Prince’s Trust in Spring 2019, I have been enjoying an experimental phase, including tech, equipment, colour theory, surface and texture, symbolism and shape. The complexity of the brief and the resulting detailed painting inspired me to pursue and explore further works such as this.
Oil on panel, cut with a jigsaw around the silhouette of the dog. The neon outline was requested by a customer in early 2019 and other customers have liked the idea and requested it since. Pet portraits make a thoughtful and personal gift to family or friends.
