Ascential, a FTSE 250 global trend forecasting company, contacted me last year to ask if I would donate a painting into an auction they were organising, raising funds for The Prince’s Trust. I explained that as I usually work by commission I was happy to donate the personalised painting opportunity. One of Ascential’s Board of Directors, Sean Harley bought the commission raising £1500. The brief was specific, unusual, complex, creative and so much fun. The glitched style painting took 56 hours to paint and provided enjoyable challenges with image duplication. On completion, the painting was unveiled at another of Ascential’s fundraising events. The company have further expanded on the painting’s potential by entering it into an annual auction to loan it out to companies across the country. This raised another £700 for this year, going to IT company Transact until next summer.
